     EXPRESSING HAPPINESS

1.      The Definition Expression of Happiness:

Expression of happiness is an expression that is used to show that someone or people are glad.

(ungkapan yang digunakan untuk menunjukkan bahwa seseorang atau orang sedang bahagia

2.      When do you feel happy? ( Kapan Anda merasa bahagia?)

We are successful to do something.    ( kami melakukan seuatu)

We are feeling excited of something.  ( Kami merasa senang akan sesuatu)

We hear good news.                             ( Kami mendengar kabar Baik)

We get something from someone.       ( kami mendapatkan sesuatu dari orang)

Etc.

3.      Expressing Happiness

Here are some expressions to show happiness:

·         I’m happy to hear that ( saya senang mendengar itu)

·         I’m glad you think so   (  Saya senag anda berfikir demikian)

·         That would be great      ( Itu sangat bagus)

·         That sounds nice            (Kedengarannya Bagus 

·         That sounds fine            ( Kedengaranya Bagus )

·         That sounds wonderful     ( Kedengarannya Luar Biasa)

·         Fantastic!                        ( bagus )

·         That’s wonderful!            ( Indah Sekali) 

·         That’s fantastic!                ( Itu luar biasa)

·         That’s good!                    ( Itu Bagus)                   

·         I find it very exciting.       ( Saya merasa sangat bersemangat)

·         Good job!                            ( Kerja Bagus )

·         Great!

·         Fantastic!

·         Terrific!

·         Hooray!

·         Yippee!

·         What a great idea!

·         It sounds like fun.

·         It is good news.

·         I’m pleased / delighted about it.

·         It’s the best thing I’ve heard …. (Examples: ever, for a long time)

·         I’m satisfied with ….

·         Congratulations!

·         I’m very happy because/on …. (Examples: you success, your graduate)

·         Well done.

·         You really make me happy.    ( Kamu benar- benar membuatku bahagia)

·         I like …. (Example: to know that)

·         I love …. (Example: to hear that)

·         It was great.

4.      Example of showing happiness in dialogue

Dialogue1.

Zafran : have you seen an announcement today?

Fara     : no, I haven’t. What’s up?

Zafran : the result of our English test is coming up.

Fara     : so, how’s the result of our tests?

Zafran : not bad. We are past.

Fara     : you really make me happy.

Zafran : me too. I am so satisfied with the score.

Terjemahan 1

Zafran            : Aapakah kamu melihat pengumuman hari ini ?

Fara               : Tidak, Belum, ada apa?

Zafran            : Sebentar lagi hasil ujian  bahasa inngris kita keluar 

Fara               : Jadi, bagaimana hasil ujian kita ?

Zafran            : tidak begitu buruk, kita semua lewat 

Fara               : kamu benar-benar membuatku bahagia

Zafran            : Saya juga. Sangat puas dengan hasil skornya 

Dialogue2.

Justin   : I have just got my bachelor degree and tomorrow there will be a graduation ceremony.

Selena  : great Justin, I am so happy to hear that.

Justin   : thank you Selena. I am so glad now.

Dialogue3.

Sam     : I got two movie tickets for free.

Smith   : that is good news. How did you get that??

Sam     : that’s not important. Let’s go for a movie now.

Smith   : it sounds wonderful. Come on, I can’t wait to see my favorite move.

Sam     : fantastic.

Dialogue4

Mrs. Hans        : How was your school today, dear?
Tasya               : It was great, Mom.
Mrs. Hans        : That’s good. By the way, Annie, your niece, is in Bandung now.
Tasya               : Annie? When did she come? How was her study in Singapore?
Mrs. Hans        : She arrived here yesterday, and about her study, she did it well.Now, she is having a semester holiday in Indonesia.You know what, she has brought some books.
Tasya               : What books, Mom?
Mrs. Hans        : Well, just have a look yourself. They are on the table in the reading room.
Tasya               : Yippee!
Mrs. Hans        : Well, don’t forget to find her to say thank you.
Tasya               : I will.
